Around truncated Toeplitz operators

Truncated Toeplitz operators (TTOs) are a class of operators on concrete Hilbert spaces of analytic functions in the unit disc that have attracted much attention in the last decades. We will present them and discuss various results, as well as open directions of research. We will also venture beyond TTOs towards some possible interesting extensions.
主讲人介绍：
Dan Timotin has defended his PhD thesis in 1986 at the University of Bucharest, having Dan Voiculescu as advisor. Since 1990 he is a researcher at the Institute of Mathematics of the Romanian Academy where he currently also serves as a deputy director.
His main areas of interest are operator theory in Hilbert space, spaces of functions and their applications. In particular, he has obtained results in dilation theory and commutant lifting, truncated Toeplitz operators, Horn inequalities, positive definite functions, de Branges-Rovnyak spaces. He has published more than 80 papers in international journals.
He has been an invited professor as well as a research fellow at various universities in France and the USA. He has given over 50 invited talks at international conferences and more than 60 seminar presentations. He has received in 2011 the Simion Stoilow prize of the Romanian Academy.
